Capturing Joy one moment at a time
For standard sessions I take a minimalistic approach to editing. I make standard edits in my style to ensure image looks great. You are beautiful the way you are! I do typically provide a number of black and white images in my galleries. Some sessions do require a different approach on editing such as newborn and styled sessions.
YESSSS! Can I say that again? Yes! I am a huge believer in documenting your memories and the big moments. Is it an investment? Yes, but these are the moments you want and NEED to look back on in your life in the years to come. Plus, they are fun and a great way for us to get to know each other before the big day. The wedding day is busy! Taking photos before the wedding in a relaxed setting is a great idea! I don't require either, but I defintely recommend them.
This time of your life is one of the most amazing and QUICKLY change times. So, yes, please document. Memories like these come and go so quickly. Hang them on your walls and cherish them! Annoucement, maternity, fresh 48, newborn, sitter, cake smashes, and every other milestone is SO precious! It goes so fast.
Absolutely! I recommend using a professional printer. I have a fantastic one linked to your gallery that you can order directly from. I offer a wide variety of print finishes, canvases, metal prints, and more. If you don't see it in the gallery offerings I can custom quote you just about anything you want.
Ok, so this is BIG! There are some key things that are very important whether you book with me or elsewhere. NEVER leave a baby unattended no matter what pose they are in. If I need to move away from the beanbag or prop I will always ask someone to stay by the baby. If a pose has any chance that baby can startle or move I will ask a spotter to put a hand on baby at ALL times other than for a brief moment when I snap a photo then the hand will be placed back on baby immediately. Props that could topple should be weighted. If you have younger siblings it's important to keep in mind that it may be safer to do a composite image than photographing them together. Listen to the photographer's suggestion if they think it best. I have a smaller studio, so I do suggest bringing two cars so that we can do sibling photos first so that siblings can go get a bite to eat or go play outside while we finish the session. Sessions can take a while and it can be quite boring to be cooped up in a small space or really just anywhere not having fun for a while.
I have a great style guide post on the blog here: Tips for a Great Photo Session | Greenville TX Photographer | New Joy Photography
